Having vanquished death in Elders, here the feather generates life. The new feather replicates the form of its elder but is distinguished by radiant, hopeful white tones. McNeil again uses platinum’s tonal range to deliver an ultimately optimistic message: drawing on the resilience of their ancestors, Native peoples continue to flourish.
